Good morning Revere, today is Wednesday, May 11th, and these are your daily
"This week the Revere Track and Field teams competed against the league's best at the Suburban League Championships. The teams battled hard and posted some great individual results!
The girls team came away with two individual runner-up placings from Morgan Dobos in the 800 and Megan Diulus in the 1600. Leah Valentine PR'd to take 4th in the 400, Kayla Kephart finished 5th in the high jump, Nina Verner was 7th in 100 hurdles, Giselle Lorenzo ran a huge PR to place 7th in the 300 hurdles, Evelyn Tucker placed 7th in the 3200, Lauren Weil was 8th in Pole Vault, Josie Schiesswohl made the finals in Long Jump and Cassie Keaton qualified for finals in Shot and placed 8th in disc. The 4 x 800 relay team of Megan Diulus, Norah Brownlee, Laura Wagner, and Morgan Dobos placed 3rd overall. Great job girls!
For the boys team, Jagraj Dhillon earned Suburban League runner-up in the shot put. Colton Carmichael was just behind in 3rd place and also took 5th in the discus. Joab Bockstoce had a PR day while taking 3rd in high jump and 5th in long jump. Akshay Elango ran a great personal best to place 3rd in the 3200, Andrew Farrow placed 6th in high jump, and Aidan Palmer qualified for the finals in Disc. Joe Sunkin ran a great PR to place 6th in the 110 hurdles and Lawrence Saltis PR'd right behind to take 7th. Thomas Christman was 7th in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes, David Anand placed 7th in the 800, Greg Wilson was 8th in the 400 and Adam Stano was 8th in the 300 hurdles.
Both teams had lots of great performances which now have them ready for the Division 1 district championships at Nordonia Next week. Great work Minutemen! "
