Bath Elementary Named Blue Ribbon School for 2018

(October 1, 2018) – Bath Elementary in the Revere Local School District has been named a 2018 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.  Bath was recognized for being an Exemplary High Performing School.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program award recognizes both public and private schools.  Those honored with exemplary high performing status have high achieving students (top 15 percent) in English and mathematics, as measured by state assessments.

“I am extremely proud of the staff at Bath who work hard each day to help our students learn and advance,” said Bath Principal Dan Fry.  “While I know how talented my staff is across the board, it is definitely wonderful for us to be honored with a national award.”

Fry will travel to Washington, D.C. in November to accept the award on behalf of his school.

Bath Elementary houses fourth and fifth grade students.  Beginning with the 2019-20 school year, it will also be home to third grade students when the new Bath Elementary building opens.

Path to 2025

Bath’s designation as a 2018 Blue Ribbon School reinforces Revere’s Pathway to 2025.

“From the strategic plan we developed in 2015 to the curriculum mapping outlined by Revere teachers, we have been working to help students succeed in every way we can,” said Matthew Montgomery, Revere Superintendent.  “This award is exciting because it shows our staff and students are meeting and exceeding expectations.”
