  • S.T.E.M. Education: ROCKET POWER!

Each year, Mr. Neubert's science class studies the dynamics of building and launching rockets. Students design, launch, and measure distance traveled based on the design specs. The rockets can be used to illustrate Newton’s second law (action/reaction), introduce a space travel unit, or be used as a design activity with connections to aerodynamics and propulsion. Failed launches provide excellent opportunities to debrief and redesign. The real appeal is that students are amazed to watch the rockets they have built blast off!

  • A Taste of Spanish

Mrs. Fela's 8th Grade Spanish class reenacted a Hispanic restaurant scene as a creative way to practice speaking in the target language.

The students created an authentic Hispanic menu and pretended to serve clients(s) as they spoke in Spanish.
