Revere Local Schools Names Andrew Tufts as New Supervisor of Technology

Revere Local Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Tufts as the District's new Supervisor of Technology, following the upcoming retirement of Technology Director John Schinker.

The Revere Local School District Board of Education approved Tufts' two-year contract at its June 30, 2026 meeting. He will officially assume his new role on August 1, 2026. To help ensure a smooth transition before the start of the 2026-2027 school year, the Board also approved up to five additional days for Tufts to work alongside district staff prior to his official start date.

Tufts brings a diverse background in technology leadership, systems administration, and customer support. Most recently, he served as the Systems and Security Administrator for Wadsworth City Schools, where he managed technology infrastructure and cybersecurity operations. Prior to that, he worked as a Desktop Analyst at Mercy Hospital, helping lead technology initiatives during the organization's transition to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital. He began his career with Apple as a Genius, providing technical support and repair services for Apple products.

In addition to his professional experience, Tufts has earned numerous industry-recognized certifications, including CompTIA Network+ and Security+, as well as certifications from both Google and Apple.

While I know I have big shoes to fill, I am fully committed to delivering an exceptional technology experience for our staff, students, and families."

Superintendent Dan White expressed confidence in Tufts' ability to lead the district's technology department into the future.

"Andrew's technical expertise, leadership experience, and dedication to service made him an outstanding candidate," said White. "Throughout the interview process, it became clear that he possesses the knowledge, vision, and collaborative approach needed to lead our technology department.
