ASMA is a series of six 35-minute math contests.  The contests are held on Thursdays from 2:45-3:25 pm.   Students do not have to attend all of the contests.  Tentative dates for the 2022-2023 school year are 11/10, 12/8, 1/12, 2/9, 3/9, 4/13.

Math Madness is a series of online math contests each containing about 8 questions to be completed in 30 minutes.  We will continue until Revere has been knocked out of the playoffs.  There are some team and some individual contests.  The contests run from 2:45 - 3:25 on some Tuesdays and some Thursdays beginning around 9/20.

The AMC 10A and 12A are 75-minute contests where students may not use a calculator.  The AMC 10B and 12B will take place about a week later.  Most interested students will take the 10A or 12A contest.  Only a limited number of copies of the 10B and 12B will be available for students who were not available for the 10A and 12A or for students who wish to take both versions.  High scorer might qualify students for the AIME in March.

OCTM contest was created by math teachers and might be given one day in late September or early October.  High scores might qualify students for the OHMIO contest.  The OHMIO contest is usually given in November.

Students must attend at least 5 math contests in the 2020-2021 school year in order to write “Ohio Math League” on their college, scholarship, and NHS applications. Students who attend many math contests and have a high math GPA may be eligible for the Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society in the spring. Students should see Mrs. Gillette in room A221 with any questions.
