Bus Routes

The Revere Board of Education is required by state regulations to designate all bus stops. Bus stops have been placed in locations throughout the district which have, through the years, proven to be safe for loading and unloading students. Due to the number of students transported, an effort has been made to locate stops so that no student has to travel more than one half mile to a bus stop. The exception to this would be students living on roads not traveled by Revere school buses and where street conditions do not permit a safe stop within these limits. Student travel to and from the bus stop is the responsibility of the parent or guardian. Assistance is requested in seeing that the children arrive safely to the stop and home from the stop.

Transfer of a pupil from his/her regular bus to another will be permitted only with a signed note from a parent or guardian presented to the principal’s office in advance.  Permission is also contingent on whether there is enough available rider space on the bus.  

All students must have  Final Forms completed to receive bus service. Completion of forms is also necessary for students attending daycare centers before and/or after school and for private school students.  Once processed, you will be able to find your child’s bus “Letter” on their transportation form.  Your student’s Final Forms need to be updated for every new school year.    

About two weeks before the start of school you will receive an email from Revere Local Schools Transportation Department stating bus stop times and location.  Bus schedules can change so expect a second “confirmation” email about a week before school starts. The times on your second email will be your most up to date and correct bus schedule.  

Half Day Kindergarten students’ midday assignments take longer to coordinate so expect that information to be emailed after our regular routes are sent out. If you have not received an email after the first few days of the school year, please reach out to us!

Unfortunately not all students can be picked up at their home address. We strive to make all stop locations safe and as convenient as possible.

If your child is starting mid-school year it will take a few days to coordinate your child’s transportation after the completion of Final Forms.  You will receive a phone call or email to confirm the stop location and times.
