PLTW - Principles of Engineering
(POE, 2 Semesters, 1 Year) - Through problems that engage and challenge, students explore a broad range of engineering topics, including mechanisms, the strength of structures and materials, and automation. Students develop skills in problem solving, research, and design while learning strategies for design process documentation, collaboration, and presentation.
Prerequisite/Student Readiness Consideration: Successful completion of INTRODUCTION OF ENGINEERING DESIGN and ALGEBRA I is required. We also recommend students have successfully completed or are concurrently enrolled in Geometry and are ready to learn basic trigonometric concepts.
