Title I, a federally funded program established through ESDA (Every Student Succeeds Act), services qualifying students at Bath Elementary. The program is a targeted assistance program and helps regular education students who struggle in reading and/or math. The goal of the program is to provide support to these students so that they are able to close the gap and meet “on grade level” expectations.
Title I requires specific assessments to be administered to identify those students who qualify for the program. In Revere, the assessments used are the NWEA Map assessments. These are administered to all students and then, from these, identify those students who qualify for the additional support. Also used are past test score from state tests, observational data, grades, and teacher feedback.
More specific information on the program, the teachers, and the identification process can be obtained by contacting Kathy Nolan, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Educational Technology at 330-523-3102 or via email at email@example.com
