• Guidelines for Supporting Children with Life-Threatening Allergies

The FOOD ALLERGY FORM must be signed by a parent/guardian to alert all staff and students of life-threatening allergies and response information. You will note that a current picture of your child is requested to share with school personnel. This form is available at Health Services by selecting here.
The FOOD ALLERGY FORM will be kept in the classroom and a copy placed in the substitute folder.
A letter will be sent home at the beginning of the year to students who are in a class with someone who has a life
    threatening allergy.
In school cafeterias, no nut products will be used within any item produced. Prepackaged foods offered for sale may contain nuts. A table(s) that is free of nut products will be established according to student need (K-8). The "nut free" table(s) will be wiped with a cloth after each lunch session that will not share rinse water with any other table(s) or be used on other tables. “Point of Sale” PIN pads will be cleaned between lunch periods.
Training on the proper use of the EpiPen will be offered to all staff. Training DVDs will be placed in school buildings and the bus garage.
For students with life threatening allergies, teachers, cafeteria and transportation staff will be notified.
